Kuća MGLO

Projektiranje: 2025.-2026.

MGLO House

Design: 2025–2026

Net usable area: 127 m²
Gross construction area: 136 m²

The development is shaped so that its volume, relationship to the surrounding environment, and alignment with the site’s topography integrate harmoniously into the existing landscape.

The family house maintains direct contact with the terrain on two sides of the building plot. On the upper floor, on the street side, is the main entrance — the level accessed both on foot and by car from the public road. On the ground floor, the living area is oriented toward the yard and follows the gentle slope of the terrain, allowing a natural transition to the terrace and garden.

On the entrance level, the upper floor, there are bedrooms and a small home office. The ground floor contains the living spaces — the living room, kitchen, dining room, and entertainment area — which open via the terrace toward the quieter part of the property, the garden. The southwest orientation, combined with the sloping terrain, enhances the quality and usability of the outdoor space.

On the part of the plot adjacent to the county road, an extension of the roof is large enough to cover one parking space, with an additional uncovered parking space. The entrance canopy allows protected access to the house from the vehicle, shielding users from weather conditions.

The architectural design of the building is the result of the project brief and the need for harmonious integration into the surroundings.

Structurally, the building is designed in two parts. The ground floor, as the primary level in contact with the terrain, is designed with a reinforced concrete structure along with the intermediate floor slab. The upper floor, fully supported on the reinforced concrete base of the lower level, will be built with exterior load-bearing brick walls with integrated mineral wool and reinforced concrete vertical and horizontal tie beams. The roof structure is designed as a wooden system with rafters and truss bracing. It is clad with clay roof tiles. The exterior exposed walls of the ground floor are protected with an ETICS system, while the upper floor features plastered brick walls filled with mineral wool.
