Kuća SŽHČ

Projektiranje: 2023.
Izvedba: 2025.–2026.

Suterenska etaža objedinjuje dnevne i tehničke sadržaje.

Design: 2023
Construction: 2025–2026

Net Usable Area: 243 m²
Gross Building Area: 189 m²

The family house for a three‑member household is designed in the outskirts of Zagreb, on a large plot with access from the north and a natural slope descending toward the south.

The entrance to the house is located on the ground floor beneath a covered porch, leading into a foyer directly connected to the garage. Adjoining the foyer is the staircase — the main vertical circulation of the house — which links the two levels, the ground floor and the basement.

On the ground floor, in addition to the entrance area and the garage, there is a sleeping wing with three bedrooms and a bathroom. The basement level contains the main living and technical spaces. The fully embedded section of the basement accommodates the machine room, storage areas, and an additional bathroom. The part of the basement with access to the natural terrain forms the living area — the living room, dining room, and kitchen combined into a single open space.

From the living area, a terrace on the garden side of the plot is accessed, connecting to the landscape via a short flight of steps.

The basement is designed as a solid reinforced‑concrete base with an ETICS façade. On the street side it is fully embedded, while on the garden side it sits entirely above ground due to the continuous slope of the site from the street toward the south.

The ground floor is level with the terrain on the northern, access side, while on the southern side it appears elevated, as the basement fully emerges from the slope. This upper level is designed as a timber superstructure with a dual‑pitch roof inclined at 22°.

On the garden side, in front of the basement, there is a terrace with a pergola that serves as an outdoor extension of the living space. The architectural expression, proportions, and material choices are harmonized with both the urban and natural context of the site, ensuring that the house integrates seamlessly with its surroundings.
